Silvia Juarez-Marazzo
CO-EXECTUIVE DIRECTOR CLINICAL
Silvia Juarez-Marazzo, LCSW-R, NCPsyA, joined Chances for Children in 2018 as Clinical Director and assumed the role of Co-Executive Director Clinical in 2021. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Nationally Accredited Adlerian Psychoanalyst, Silvia was a Senior Clinician and Supervisor for Child First Yale-Bridgeport Hospital and Senior Faculty for Child First, Inc. from 2005 to 2016. In 2016, Silvia joined the Early Childhood Consultation Partnership at ABH, Connecticut, bringing Infant Mental Health to the Early Care and Education Settings through her role as Assistant Program Manager.
Silvia has been a Faculty for the Master Program in Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University since 2001. She was also a Faculty for the Bachelor Program in Social Work at Sacred Heart University from 2001 to 2010. Silvia was invited as an Adjunct Faculty for the Infant Parent Mental Health Fellowship led by Dr. Ed Tronick at the University of Massachusetts in 2016. In 2019, Silvia was invited to join the faculty of the Graduate and Undergraduate Early Childhood Education/Art Education programs at Brooklyn College.
Silvia is the author and illustrator of internationally recognized picture books for immigrant children and their families.
Silvia was the Connecticut Infant Mental Health 2014 Jane C. Award recipient for Excellence and Exemplary Service to Young Children and their Families in the Field of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.
